Fifty Years OnOn the night of 29th December 1940, during the Blitz, St Bride's Church was fire-bombed and the nave completely destroyed. In 1953 the work of reconstruction began, and the beautifully restored church was rededicated, in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh, on 19th December 1957.

Fifty Years On, we want to commemorate the anniversary of the rededication of the church, to celebrate all that has been achieved over the last 50 years, and to look ahead to the future.
