St Bride's Church, Fleet Street: spiritual home of the media
st_brides_baptism.jpg

St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made welcome.
Alison Joyce, Rector of St Bride's

A Space For Silence

St Bride's church provides a space for silence every weekday evening between 5 and 6pm; a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Fleet Street and the City of London.

You are welcome to join us and come and go as you please.

Commune with your own heart ... and be still (Psalm 4:4)

February 26

"You clean the outside of the cup, while inside you are filled with wickedness." (Luke 11: 39)

The Pharisees were meticulous in their outward show of hygiene. Jesus reminded them of the danger of presenting an outward show of holiness while neglecting the inner life of faith. If we acknowledge our need for inner cleansing we can truly seek the healing grace of God.

Lord, help me to see myself as I truly am, and to seek purification through your Holy Spirit. Amen.
