St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made welcome.
Alison Joyce, Rector of St Bride's

A Space For Silence

St Bride's church provides a space for silence every weekday evening between 5 and 6pm; a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Fleet Street and the City of London.

You are welcome to join us and come and go as you please.

Commune with your own heart ... and be still (Psalm 4:4)

'Can anything good come from there?' (John1: 46)

When we reflect on our own journeys of faith, it is often unlikely people and places which have had an unexpected influence on us. Maybe someone quite insignificant and peripheral to our lives has said or done something which has changed the way we think or act. When Bartholomew first heard about Jesus he was very dismissive, but Philip encouraged him to come and see. Can you think of someone who challenged you to see things differently or take a new direction in your life? And as you do so give thanks for them, and the sometimes unexpected people who have influenced us.

Lord, so often we judge people on first or superficial appearances. Help us to treat people with open-ness and respect, ready to hear a new word from them about our own journeys of faith. Amen.
