The present pandemic presents a very different challenge for St Bride's than those we have encountered before.

Our doors may be closed, but all our Sunday and Holy Week & Easter publicised services will be available to listen to at home, collated from our archive of live recordings and newly recorded readings, prayers and sermons.

We hope this proves a comfort in these difficult times and a way to preserve our community of faith and fellowship.

Most services are streamed as live on Facebook at the scheduled service time. They are released concurrently in Listen Online, on SoundCloud & as a podcast.

A Space For Silence

St Bride's church provides a space for silence every weekday evening between 5 and 6pm; a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Fleet Street and the City of London.

You are welcome to join us and come and go as you please.

Commune with your own heart ... and be still (Psalm 4:4)

Passion Sunday

"Jesus died for all, so that we should no longer live for ourselves but for him." (2 Corinthians 5: 15)

Passion Sunday is the name given to the fifth Sunday in Lent, when we begin to focus on the coming Passion of Jesus. Traditionally crucifixes are veiled in churches, and the liturgy reflects the solemnity of the approaching trial and death of our Lord. Jesus struggled with his own calling to obey God's will, but in the end he went forward to Jerusalem. In our struggles to be faithful can we look to his Cross and find there strength and peace?

Merciful God, who by the death and resurrection of Christ delivered humankind, help us by faith in his cross to triumph in his victory. Amen.

St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made welcome.
