St Bride's Church, Fleet Street: spiritual home of the media
remembrance.jpg

In November we hold a cluster of services, all of which have the theme of Remembering at their heart.

Our All Saints' Day Choral Eucharist and All Souls' tide Commemoration of the Faithful Departed on 4th November remembering those who have touched our lives but are now departed; Remembrance Sunday on 11th November, particularly poignant as the centenary of the Armistice falls on the same day; & our annual Journalists' Service on 20th November at which we commemorate the journalists, camera-crew, photographers and support staff whose mission it is to bring us the news. #Journalist_Service    Further Information

St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made welcome.
Alison Joyce, Rector of St Bride's

November 15

'The Kingdom of God has overtaken you.' (Luke 11: 20)

Today some people are gripped by forces too strong for them, fears, bad habits, addictions, a volatile temperament. Jesus demonstrates that he is stronger than the forces that grip us. We must pray for the spiritual toughness to trust him so that his Kingdom can break into seemingly impossible situations.

Lord, No situation is beyond your reach, no problem is too great for you to solve. I lay before you my concerns and compulsions asking that you act powerfully in my life. Amen.

A Space For Silence

St Bride's church provides a space for silence every weekday evening between 5 and 6pm; a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Fleet Street and the City of London.

You are welcome to join us and come and go as you please.

Commune with your own heart ... and be still (Psalm 4:4)
