Holy Week & Easter 2017

St Bride's was delighted to welcome so many visitors and congregants during Holy Week and the Easter festival. Use our Listen Online service to catch up on a compilation of musical highlights from that period as we journey through services on Maundy Thursday, and the devotional hours of Good Friday, to the proclamation of Easter in the light of a new dawn on Easter Day.

St Bride's offers a varied and full programme of music throughout the year at our Sunday services performed by our professional church choir as well as hosting regular lunchtime recitals.

'You may find peace in me' (John 16:33)

Loneliness is a universal experience, even in our crowded society. Partly this is because we are born alone, and alone we die. Nobody can fully know us because each of us is unique. Jesus too faced this reality, and the fact that even his closest friends would desert him in his hour of need. He was sustained by his deep knowledge of his Father's love and presence. He offers that assurance and peace to us too.

Lord, we pray for those feeling lost and alone, especially those who have lost someone dear to them. May they and we find strength and comfort within your compassionate love. Amen.
