St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made welcome.

'Our Father in heaven, may your name be holy.' (Matthew 6: 9)

Here Jesus teaches his followers the most famous prayer of all. This was an incredibly radical thing to do in a religious culture built on complicated rules and rituals. Jesus encourages his followers to treat God not as a distant power but as a loving Father. All we have to do is to open our hearts in simple longing for God, and Jesus shows us the way in this beautiful prayer to his Father, a gift we can use over and over again.

Lord Jesus, you taught us to call your Father 'Our Father', revealing the way to an intimate, loving relationship with God. Help us to pray this prayer every day in simplicity and trust. Amen.
