St Bride's Church, Fleet Street: spiritual home of the media
st_brides_baptism.jpg

St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made welcome.
Alison Joyce, Rector of St Bride's

A Space For Silence

St Bride's church provides a space for silence every weekday evening between 5 and 6pm; a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Fleet Street and the City of London.

You are welcome to join us and come and go as you please.

"Lord, I am a sinner." (Luke 5: 8)

Jesus has just amazed Peter and his companions with the enormous catch of fish, and Peter kneels in wonder and humility. Christ can do nothing with a proud saint: he can do great things with a humble sinner. If we acknowledge our weaknesses and our need of God, we too can bring grace to the world.

Lord, grant us humble hearts that in our openness and imperfection we may bring your love to others. Amen.
