St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here today. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made very welcome.Alison Joyce

'Lord, how often must I forgive?' (Matthew 18:21)

The philosopher Goethe once wrote: 'No reproaches about what is past and cannot be altered. How can a man live at all if he does not grant absolution every night to himself and his fellows?' When Jesus responds to the question about forgiveness he says it must be unlimited. We hear of people who show heroic forgiveness, but most of us are only called to forgive comparatively trivial things. Perhaps we would do well to follow Goethe's advice and make forgiveness part of our prayers every night.

Lord God, may your forgiveness in our lives bear fruit in our readiness to forgive others. Help us to be merciful as you are merciful. Amen.
