rish pianist Máire Carroll is the Royal Dublin Society 2012 Bursary Winner, the first and only pianist to have won this prestigious award. Máire is the winner of the Feis Ceoil Mabel Swainson Award and the Morris Grant Bursary. International appearances include performances at the Horowitz Festival Kiev, 'Pianofest' in the Hamptons, New York; 'Piano Extravagnza' Aspen Music Festival, Colorado. She was a scholarship awardee of The Banff Centre Summer Music Festival in August 2012. Máire has performed with The National Symphony Orchestra of the Ukraine, the Royal Irish Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra, The Hibernian Orchestra and most recently she performed Mozart Piano Concerto K.488 with the Orchestra of St.Cecilia in Dublin. In April 2013 she performed a solo at the Barbican, London in celebration of Ireland's EU presidency and in April 2014 collaborated with the London Sinfonietta at St.John's Smith Square. Máire will be traveling to Philadelphia and New York in October giving a series of recitals in both cities. She will also be collaborating with the Irish Composer's Collective in November for their 10th Year Anniversary Festival performing newly commissioned works and giving chamber performances with KIRKOS ensemble.
