The Brio Duo commenced its adventure in the musical world in September 2012 in London.
Formed by two extremely passionate and committed musicians, Lucia Brighenti and Irene Ortega have already shared their music in Italy and in the UK with a wide range of audiences, including community concerts such as "Music at Oatleigh", London.

Although the duo has a classical formation and a vast repertoire in this field, these two young musicians are broadening their horizons, exploring popular songs and modern compositions, to help people regain interest in classical music, by contouring it with well-known and well-loved songs. In addition, Irene and Lucia, from Spain and Italy, are committed to their country's musical tradition, with a desire to spread and diffuse this repertoire to a larger public both in their homelands and abroad.

Both graduates from the Royal Academy of Music in London and third-prize winners in the international competition "Città di Piove di Sacco" in April 2013, they have taken active part in masterclasses with illustrious names such as Natalia Gutman and Frieder Berthold. They have also received tuition, during their studies by stimulating musicians such as Colin Carr, Sun-Won Yang, Mario Brunello, Robert Cohen, Michael Dussek, Carole Presland, Ian Brown and David Strange.

Creative and hard-working, these two emerging musicians are committed to transmitting and sharing their love for music with a wide range of audiences.
