Zoë Freedman commenced her MMus at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in September 2012, studying with Alison Wells and Robert Aldwinckle.  She is kindly supported in her studies by the South Square Trust, the Split Infinitive Trust, Trinity Laban Postgraduate Bursary Fund and her parents.  As part of her studies she has been involved in a mentoring scheme with the ENO Chorus.

An active opera and concert singer, her recent performances include Sophie in scenes from Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier, Madame Herz in scenes from Mozart's Der Schauspieldirektor, Dido's Lament with Sound Collective as part of their MusicUpClose series, opera scenes by Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Poulenc and Judith Weir on the Birkbeck opera course, and chorus with Co-Opera Company, Hampstead Garden Opera and Armonico Opera.

In oratorio she has performed as a soloist with J2 Chamber Choir, London Youth Opera, the London Oriana Choir and the Spires Philharmonic and Chorus.  She has participated in the Abingdon Summer School for Solo Singers, The Complete Singer Course, and workshops and courses with Janis Kelly (Co-Opera Co.) and Teresa Cahill (Jackdaws).  She has sung in masterclasses with Ryland Davies, Matthew Rose, Brindley Sherratt and Ian Page.

 

A versatile musician and joint winner of the Gerald Moore Award for 2014, Panaretos Kyriatzidis has a particular interest in contemporary music and collaborative performance, which has taken him to various venues across Europe. Panaretos holds a Postgraduate Artist Diploma and a Masters degree with Distinction from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he was tutored by Martino Tirimo and Philip Fowke, with the kind support of the TCM and Leverhulme Trusts. During his time at Trinity Laban Panaretos has been a semi-finalist at the Jaques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano Competition, performed Stravinsky's Concerto for Piano and Wind Instruments with the Trinity Laban Wind Orchestra and won  first prize in The English Song Competition (with Julia Weatherley), The Elisabeth Schumann Lieder Competition (with Erika Mädi-Jones), Il Circolo Solo Piano Competition, The Leonard Smith & Felicity Young Duo Competition (with cellist Miriam Wakeling) and The Cavatina Chamber Music Competition (with the Bedriska Trio). He has also received the David Gosling Prize, awarded for excellence in accompaniment, and the John Thompson Prize for chamber music.

Before moving to London, Panaretos was awarded a Piano Diploma with the mark 'Excellent and First Prize' in Greece, as well as a Piano Degree and Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue Degrees. He also won second prize in the 4th National Competition for Young Pianists (Andros Island, 2007). 

Panaretos has attended many masterclasses, most recently with the legendary Menahem Pressler of the Beaux Arts Trio at the Wigmore Hall and the prestigious Oxford Lieder Festival Mastercourse, led by Roger Vignoles. Some of the leading musicians he has worked with include Pascal Rogé, Levon Chilingirian, Wolfgang Holzmair, Olaf Bär, Andrew West and George Hadjinikos. He has also studied composition at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki for four years and holds a BA in Law from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Panaretos enjoys a busy performance schedule and takes great pleasure in working with the well-established Bedriska Trio and Peacock Ensemble. He is currently a Leverhulme Junior Fellow in Piano Accompaniment at Trinity Laban.
