Irma Vastakaite and Greta Ăsted are currently reading MA in Violin and Piano Performance respectively at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Both having an array of ensemble music experiences, sampling different ensemble sizes ranging from duos to quartets, they found to have a strong chemistry and very similar taste in interpretation as well as a very academic and disciplined approach to rehearsing. Both Irma and Greta are very ambitious and passionate about what they focus on. Thus they constantly try to discover new ways of exploring techniques and different perspectives when approaching a musical work by professionally recording their progress on a weekly basis. They are also consulting Prof Jack Liebeck and Prof Michael Dussek to establish a better harmony as an ensemble.

Both their professors Jack Liebeck and Carole Presland strongly recommended they took chamber music to the next level by expanding their ensemble experience. The duo is currently in the progress of recording all the Beethoven Sonatas for violin and piano. Irma and Greta have future concert engagements in London, Sweden, Luxembourg, Cyprus and Lithuania.

Recently Duo Vastedt has performed in St Mary-at-Hill Church, London; Leatherhead Church, Leatherhead; Uppermill Coffee Concert series in Manchester; Piano Festival at the Royal Academy of Music; Siauliu University, Lithuania; St James Piccadilly, London.

Upcoming concerts are going to be in Wigmore Hall; St Olave's Church and the 'Come backs' Festival in Vilnius, Lithuania.
