José Menor is an artist who defies labels, hailed as"the great ambassador of Spanish music" (Melómano), or as a "revolutionary of his instrument" (Hèctor Parra), exploring the most innovative music of the avantgarde, including his own compositions.One of the most outstanding Spanish pianists of his generation, José Menor has quickly established himself as a sought after artist in the field of new music. His recording of Guinjoan's complete solo works was awarded four stars by Fono Forum and was hailed "a discographic milestone" (Melómano).

José made his international debut at age fifteen, performing at Carnegie Hall as a First Prize winner of Cincinnati's 'The World Piano Competition'. Most recent 2015 engagements include Schwetzinger SWR Festspiele; 'Martha Argerich' Festival in Lugano; Granada International Festival. 2015/16 solo recitals include Palau de la Música Catalana, Carnegie Hall and a China tour including the 'Meet in Beijing Arts Festival', performing Granados' Goyescas.Concerto highlights have included performances with the RPO in London, RTVE in Madrid, OBC in Barcelona, Wuhan Philharmonic (China), Montevideo Philharmonic, Wroclaw Philharmonic, among other orchestras.
