What Guitar Trio is an ensemble who met and formed whilst students at the Royal College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music. Their repertoire focuses on originally composed music for three guitars, whether that be from the late Classical era or the twentieth century. The trio also makes various arrangements for the ensemble.

Michael Hughes, Jonathan Parkin and Ioannis Theodoridis began What Guitar Trio in 2015, they have performed in venues such as The Southbank Centre, Kings Place, The National Museum of Wales, St Martin's in the Bullring, The Selsey festival and for the West Sussex Guitar Society. Since their formation they have also taken part in outreach work throughout London. All three members have studied with Graham Anthony Devine and as an ensemble with Gary Ryan, Carlos Bonell and Chris Stell.
