Concert pianist Bocheng Wang was born in Lanzhou, China. He is currently studying piano with Professor Christopher Elton for his four-year Bachelor's degree at the Royal Academy of Music, where he is very honoured to have received a full Violet Irene Strutton Scholarship. Described as an incredibly fast learner, Bocheng is also extremely adaptable. He has taken part in many masterclasses with worldwide maestros such as Professor John O'Conor, Arie Vardi, Andrzej Jansinki, Pascal Rogé, Pascal Devoyon, Dmitry Alexeev and Erik T. Tawaststjerna.

He has performed in prestigious venues such as the FAZIOLI Hall in Sacile, Italy, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and at London's Kings Place, Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Fairfield Hall and Watford Colosseum. In 2017 he had a memorable recital tour in the North of England. His competition successes include Finalist at the Ettlingen International Piano Competition (2014), Third Prize at the 'Young Pianist of the North' International Piano Competition (2012), Second Prize at the Liszt International Society Piano Competition (2015), and the First Prize winner at the Croydon Concerto Competition (2015). As a result, he has performed with many orchestras such as Dulwich Symphony, London Mozart Players and Purcell Symphony. Bocheng has also worked with conductors including Leigh O'Hara, Dominic Peckham and Robin O'Neill. He has been invited to play in many international festivals such as Konzertarbeitswochen Goslar (2014), PianoTexas (2018), and Dartington (2018). In June 2016, he was invited to play in a concert to celebrate HM The Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday, and was honoured to meet Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

During his free time, Bocheng enjoys playing basketball and golf, watching movies and socialising with friends.
