Born in 1990, Europe-based Taiwanese concert pianist Kevin Fan Yu has performed around England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Hungary, Belgium, Croatia, Poland, Norway and Taiwan. Prestigious concert halls include South Bank Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Town Hall, Sheffield City Hall, Warwick Arts Centre, Taiwan Kaohsiung Cultural Centre, Kaohsiung Recital Hall, as well as in many Music Festivals.

He has won the Absolute 1st Prize in the 24th 'Citta di Barletta' International Young Musicians Competition, 1st Prize in Val Tidone International Piano Competition (2016), 2nd Prize in the Valletta International Piano Competition (2017), 2nd Prize in the 15th Euterpe International Piano Competition, 5th Prize and Special Prize for 'J S Bach' in the 20th 'MLADI VIRTUOZI' International Piano Competition, 1st Prize in the Renna Kellaway Recital Competition, 1st Prize in the Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music Competition, 2nd Prize in the 1st Peter Donohoe Competition, 3rd Prize in the Ludlow Philharmonic Concerto Competition, 1st Prize in the Birmingham Conservatoire Piano Competition, 3rd Prize in the Chandos Young Musicians Competitions, 1st Prize in the Leamington Music Competition and 1st Prize in the John Ireland Competition.

Appointed a Junior Fellowship at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (2011- 2013), Kevin graduated with Honours and Distinction from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK and Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetem in Budapest, Hungary. He also completed his 1st Meisterklassenexamen degree in solo piano at the renowned Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig under Professor Markus Tomas and he is now pursuing his 2nd Meisterklassenexamen in Piano Chamber Music under the guidance of Professor Caspar Frantz.

South Korean violinist Sanghee Ji was born in 1990 in Seoul and started her first violin lessons at the age of eight. Since then, she has studied with Professor Kowoon Yang and Kyungsun Lee in Korea. In 2014, she moved to Germany and started a Master's degree with Professor Herwig Zack at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg, and in 2016 started a chamber music Master's degree with Professor Eberhard Feltz in the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. She is currently studying Meisterklassenexamen at Leipzig Musikhochschule with Professor Carolin Widmann.

She has won 1st prize in  'Debut at the Laeiszhalle Hamburg 2017', 1st prize in Streichwerk international string competition, Grand prize in Wettbewerb um den Wolfgang Fischer und Maria Fischer Flach-Preis, 4th prize in Peter Pirazzi Stiftung Wettbewerb Frankfurt, the Scholarship competition 'Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe' (YMFE), the Special prize in the Alice & Alinore Schoenfeld international competition, Prix Jeunesses Musicales in the Bordeaux international string competition, was semi-finalist in Michael Hill International Violin Competition and was Prize-winner in the Gianni Bergamo international music award.

Sanghee has performed at the Festival Music Alp, Zeister Musikleben International Chamber Music Festival (Netherlands), Musethica Music Festival Zaragoza (Spain) and Casalmaggiore International Festival (Italy). She has performed with Gewandhaus Orchestra, Buchoen Philharmonic Orchestra and the Seoul National University string chamber orchestra. She is currently the 1st Violin Tutti at the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester in Hamburg, Germany.

Duo J. Y. is Europe-based Taiwanese pianist Kevin Fan Yu and South Korean violinist Sanghee Ji who are both prizewinners in many international competitions as soloist and chamber musician. They are currently studying for the prestigious Meisterklassenexamen degree at the renowned Leipzig Musikhochschule, Germany, and are frequently working with Professor Caspar Frantz and Professor Carolin Widmann. Kevin is currently the accompanist at the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra Mendelssohn Akademie, and Sanghee is the 1st Violin Tutti in the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester in Hamburg, Germany.
