Jamie Torrance graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2018 with honours on the BMus Performance course under the tuition of Allan Neave and Ian Watt. Prior to this, Jamie studied at the Junior department at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. During his second year at RCS Jamie was given the opportunity to study at the University of the Arts in Berlin (UDK) as part of the Erasmus programme.

In 2018 Jamie was awarded the Lennox Berkeley Society Guitar Prize and was also a finalist in the 2016 Antwerp Guitar Competition. Jamie has performed solo recitals throughout the United Kingdom at venues including the Cathedral of the Isles, Cumbrae, the Edinburgh Society of Musicians and St Barnabas Cathedral, Nottingham. Jamie has been given the opportunity to play in masterclasses to renowned guitarists such as David Russell, Rene Izquierdo and Lorenzo Michelli.
