Sunday School shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child!

St Bride's Sunday School fills record number of shoeboxes as part of the Samaritans' Operation Christmas Child.

At the Sunday morning service Janet and the Sunday school brought up a selection of the 90 shoeboxes that they had already filled for this year's Operation Christmas Child, all wrapped and ready to go to the distribution centre. Since Sunday they have managed to finish the epic task that they began some months ago and the grand total now stands at 96 boxes!

Janet and the team would like to thank everyone for their donations to the scheme which will make many children happy this year.

If you've missed out on the boxes there is still a way you can contribute. Each box costs £2.50 to send so if you feel you want to make a donation towards that cost, please do let the office know.

Operation Christmas Child' is an organisation run by Samaritan's Purse that delivers a little bit of hope and happiness to underprivileged and needy children in third world countries.

It quite simply involves filling Christmas 'shoe boxes' with fun and useful gifts, which are then hand delivered to children in the most desperate parts of the world. Their target for this year is 25,000 shoe boxes so thank you for helping us to help all those needy children.
