New vestments enhance Glory of Wren Church - February 24, 2004

vestments_lg.jpgA magnificent collection of new vestments are now being used in the church. They include a new cope and chasuble, worn by the Rector, the Rev David Meara, altar cushion and frontal. The fabric has been dontated by Guildsman Paul Dyson and each item was made by a chantry vestments company in Rotherham.

The cost of £1,800 has been partly met from funds of the Guild of St Bride and the former Friends of St Bride.

Further vestments planned for the near future include a red cope and a Guild green cope to match the green frontal on the altar, the costs of which are also being met by the Guild.
