New Churchwarden - May 18, 2005

mwalker.jpgMary Walker, who became a member of the Guild of St Bride in 1999, has been elected as a Churchwarden to replace Debra Popplewell who did not seek re-election for a further term because of family commitments.

Mary, who lives just outside the parish south of the river, has established a fine reputation for producing marmalade, to help boost church funds. During the 14 years when she was living in Canada, she sold jars of marmalade and jams as part of the fundraising effort of two churches she attended. She formerly worked for the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts.
