A journey with a famous choir

The widely renowned choir of St Bride's Church, Fleet Street, in the heart of London, was in superlative form for the opening concert, Music for Desert Places, on Ash Wednesday, as part of the church's Festival of Music for Lent and Easter. It was the first of four concerts to be staged during this, the most important time in the church's calendar, leading to the great festival itself.
Under the direction of Robert Jones, the choir carried its audience on a musical journey, starting with the famous and moving 'Allegri Miserere.' This journey will continue with three other similar events and are quite simply a must for those whose appreciation of religious music is very much a part of the Christian beliefs towards Calvary and beyond.
