'We have been baptised into Jesus' death' (Romans 6:2)
When someone is baptised they are sprinkled with water to symbolise being covered with water, submerged with Jesus. The baptised person enters into the tomb with Christ and then emerges from death into the new life of Christ. Today we are reminded that in order to live with Christ we must die to everything that separates us from him. We prepare ourselves to celebrate the joy of Easter.
Lord, as we prepare to celebrate Christ's resurrection, help us to die to sin that we might live his risen life. Amen.
