"Go home... your son will live" (John 4: 50)

Persistence pays off. An official travelled from Capernaum to ask Jesus to heal his son. Jesus honoured his persistence and told him to return home. His son would be cured. Sometimes big changes happen because of a small event that goes almost un-noticed. We can honour God in the little things of life. We may not be able to perform miracles but an act of kindness may be all someone needs to find the courage to overcome their problems.

Lord God, help me to be your hands and voice and feet, reaching out and bringing your comfort to those who suffer. Amen.
