"While he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity." (Luke 15:20)

The parable of the Prodigal Son is sometimes renamed the story of the Loving Father, because he is the real hero. Why not read the story to yourself and ask yourself who you most identify with? Do we dare to believe in a God who acts just like the loving father to each of us, so that as we are accepted our lives and relationships are transformed?

Lord God, you have revealed yourself to us as a father who enfolds us in your forgiving love. Transform us through your grace. Amen.
