'His time had not yet come' (John 7:30)

Jesus bravely set his face towards Jerusalem knowing that the Temple authorities were out to get him. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we are standing alone against the odds, where we are going against the grain. But if we believe something is true or a stand has to be made, we have to be counted even at personal cost. We may not need to die for the truth, but are there situations where we need to make a stand?

Lord, grant me integrity in my daily life. Let me follow your way and your truth wherever it may lead. Give me courage to stand firm and be counted. Amen
