"Do not imagine that I have come to abolish the Law" (Matthew 5: 17)

Law and love go together. At the heart of the Law which Moses brought from God (which we know as the Ten Commandments) is the threefold command to love God, love ourselves and love our neighbour. The law keeps us focused on the path of love, but if it takes over then we have lost sight of what it is meant to lead to - generosity and joy.

 Lord God, help us to respond to your law of love which invites us to live generously and compassionately. Amen.
