"He who is not with me is against me" (Luke 11: 23)

This is a stark saying of Jesus. It suggests that there is only black and white, not shades of grey, when it comes to commitment to God. Jesus challenges us to make a decision to live the life of faith and to stand by it. We have a choice to make, and we cannot simply remain dithering on the edge. We are to step out in faith and in doing so, find God.

Lord God, help us to choose to follow you, to step out in faith and to trust that underneath are your everlasting arms. Amen.
