"God be merciful to me, a sinner" (Luke 18:13)

One of Christianity's greatest gifts to the world is the concept of sin. We are forced to face up to the essential broken-ness of human life and our own need for humility and repentance. But the real glory is that we are given a way of moving forward - through the power of the Cross. Christianity is a dynamic faith that seeks renewal out of failure, hope out of despair.

Lord God, forgive me for those times when I lack humility and self-awareness. Help me to accept that I am broken but still beautiful in your eyes. Amen.
