'I tell you most solemnly: one of you will betray me.' (John 13: 21)

Everybody has heard of Judas. He is notorious because he betrayed Jesus. The church has always been a community of saints and sinners, mostly sinners. Perhaps we can reflect on the times in our lives when we have betrayed someone, or betrayed our own ideals. Jesus has a word to speak to us all.

Lord Jesus, may I always try to be worthy of the trust others place in me, and to recognise my weaknesses as I seek your grace every day. Amen.
