'The Lord has given me a disciple's tongue' (Isaiah 50:4)

How we react to crisis events is often a test and a revelation of character. The disciples obeyed and followed Jesus and professed loyalty to him, but when the crisis came they failed to stand beside him. But Jesus, after his resurrection, met them again and commissioned them to be the church. They found their 'disciple's tongue' again. How can we cultivate the tongue of a disciple?

Lord God, may we always speak words worthy of you, even in difficult or dangerous situations. With your help may we overcome the crises we meet. Amen
