Ian Blythe Memorial

A Service of Thanksgiving for the life and work of Ian Blythe, Market Researcher and Past-Master, Worshipful Company of Marketors, was held at St Bride' s on 20th November 2009.

The Venerable David Meara delivered the Bidding:

We meet today to celebrate the life and honour the memory of Ian Blythe, a consummate professional in his career in Market Research, a staunch upholder of tradition as member and Chairman of the Publicity Club of London and member and Master of the Worshipful Company of Marketors; a good and loyal comrade in the Essex Regiment, and a successful and versatile sportsman in his earlier years.

We remember Ian as a true gentleman, a good and kindly friend to many, a convivial and clubbable companion, a loving and devoted husband to Doreen. We celebrate today a life well and fully lived, and as we give thanks for him so we commend Ian to Almighty God, trusting that at the end of our brief day is the eternity of his love.
