On Thursday 18th May we held our annual Quiz night for Christian Aid. We were small in number but there was a huge competitive spirit. So much so that an appeal was launched the following day after suspicions were voiced regarding the answer to one of the questions in the Wipeout Round.

In this round a team can win an additional five points if they answer all ten questions correctly but if they get one wrong they will score no points at all for that round.

Fortunes can be instantly reversed by this and that is exactly what happened. The team who were on course to win - Vicars and Tarts, featuring our very own Rector - lost everything in that round and plummeted from first to third place.

However, the next day, after extensive research, it was discovered that they had indeed given the correct answer to the disputed question and so they instantly rose to the top again.

Huge congratulations to the winners, Vicars and Tarts, and commiserations to runners up Clumsy Calendar Girls in second place, and The Away Dayers in third who had travelled all the way from Leamington to join us.

In total we raised £257.68 after adding GiftAid.
