St Bride's, Fleet Street is a warm and welcoming Christian community, and one of the most famous and most fascinating historic churches in Central London.

St Bride's is known worldwide as the Journalists' Church, offering a spiritual home to all who work in the media. However, our ministry extends to everyone who lives and works within our parish, and to the thousands of visitors who come to us every year. Our beautiful Wren church provides a place of peace and a spiritual haven in the heart of the city for all who come. With one of the best professional choirs in the country, we are also well known for the outstanding quality of our music and of the worship we offer.

A place of Christian worship for 1500 years, we continue to proclaim the love of God here. Whether journalist, tourist, City resident or worker, you will always be made welcome.
Alison Joyce, Rector of St Bride's

A Space For Silence

'The Lord himself will lead you.' (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Moses has reached a great age and his work is done. He has faithfully led his people through the wilderness and given them the law. Now the time has come for him to give way to Joshua. His will be a different type of leadership because he will lead the Israelites in conquest. So Moses confers authority on his successor and reminds him that it is God who is the ultimate leader.

We all experience change in our lives, and often move from one job or role to another. Each time there is a change of direction, perhaps a different style, and the need to re-adjust. But God uses variety as well as continuity and always is ahead of us, calling us on into His future.

Lord God, may we see in times of change your invitation to new beginnings. Give us confidence in your good providence that we may face the future with hope. Amen.
