Recitals take place most Tuesdays and Fridays at 1:15 pm in church (except during Holy Week, the week following Easter, August and Advent). Entrance is free (no ticket required), with a retiring collection at the end.
The series provides a vital performing opportunity both for music students from the London conservatoires who are at the beginning of their careers, and for established professionals wishing to expand their repertoire and try out new programmes.
We have had recitalists fly in from most European countries as well as Russia, Japan, Singapore and the US, and we have presented BBC Musicians of the Year and Radio 3 Young Artists.
Members of our regular audience include those working in the local area, who relish the opportunity to escape the office at lunchtime for 40 minutes of wonderful music!
If you are unable to make it to a live recital, you can always listen to our online recitals recorded live at St Bride’s. A new one is released each Thursday at 1:15 pm on our YouTube channel.
Please note: there will be no lunchtime recitals in church or online on Tuesday 4th, Thursday 6th, Friday 7th and Tuesday 11th April.
There is also a growing back catalogue that can be listened to on YouTube at any time.
If you are a performer who would like to give a recital please email Bob Bryan on recitals@stbrides.com with your CV and you will be contacted directly.
