Nicola Hands and Jonathan Pease are an established oboe and piano duo who met at Cambridge University, where both were active members of the music scene. Together they have performed at St James's Piccadilly, St Martin-in-the-Fields, St Mary's Perivale, Peterborough Cathedral, St George's Hanover Square and Waltham Abbey amongst others, and released their first CD in December 2019.

Nicola graduated with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music Master's programme, where she won the Evelyn Barbirolli prize for oboe and the Grimaldi prize for cor anglais. Nicola was the 2nd oboe/cor anglais player for the Orquestra do Norte from 2015-2017, and has been on trial with the Philharmonia Orchestra. She also plays regularly with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Birmingham Royal Ballet, the Chameleon Arts Orchestra and the Orpheus Sinfonia. She played oboe and cor anglais for 'The Light Princess' at the National Theatre in 2013-2014, and has played for other shows including 'Miss Saigon' in the Prince Edward Theatre. As a concert soloist, Nicola has performed the Martinů Concerto, the Vaughan Williams Concerto, the Mozart Concerto, the Marcello D Minor Concerto and the Strauss Concerto. In 2015 she was awarded a Jellinek soloist's award by Croydon Symphony Orchestra, and subsequently played the Albinoni D Minor Concerto in Guildford in 2016.

As an accompanist and repetiteur, Jonathan has worked with companies such as Garsington Opera, the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne Opera and Opera Holland Park. He has also enjoyed residencies aboard HMS Arcadia. Jonathan has musically directed from the piano for Devon Opera and Opera Anywhere. He conducts the East London Evensong Choir, is Director of Music at St Peter's London Docks, is resident MD at the Ivory Vaults, Tower Bridge, and is working with Poplar Union to found the East London Children's Choir. He is a prolific composer and librettist.

Nicola Hands and Jonathan Pease are an oboe and piano duo who offer recitals and full-length concerts with a mix of duo and solo repertoire for oboe, cor anglais and piano. They offer a wide range of repertoire, but have a particular affinity for Romantic and Twentieth Century European music. Nicola graduated with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music, and is now a freelance oboist and soloist, having been the principal cor anglais and 2nd oboe for the Orquestra do Norte, and having been on trial with the Philharmonia Orchestra. Jonathan balances engagements as a pianist with companies such as Garsington Opera, the Royal Opera House and Opera Holland Park, with being an award-winning composer and choral conductor.
