Sunday Club

Sunday School Favela.jpgThe Sunday Club at St Bride's aims to provide a safe and stimulating environment for the younger members of our congregation to meet and develop their own relationship with God and with each other. Children from 4 to 11 years are invited to listen to and discuss a Bible story followed by a weekly activity or games and then singing and prayers. The younger children under 4 are invited, with a parent or carer, to play with toys and read books as well as joining in with singing and prayers.

The Sunday Club is run on a rota basis by volunteers from the St Bride's congregation who bring their own varied skills, experiences and enthusiasm to the sessions each week. Members of the St Bride's Youth Group (ages 11 to 17) are also on hand to support the adults in the sessions.

Sunday Club takes place each Sunday morning during the 11am Choral Eucharist service.

This has been held for the last 23 years, and speakers have included David Attenborough, Andrew Marr, John Simpson,George Osborne, PD James, Margaret Hodge and Nigel Farage.
