Chaeyoung Lee is a dedicated flautist from Seoul, South Korea. She graduated from Sunhwa Arts High School in Korea and earned her Bachelor’s degree from the Royal College of Music, studying with Sue Thomas and Katie Bedford. She has completed her Master of Arts at the Royal Academy of Music and is now pursuing the Professional Diploma, under the guidance of Paul Edmund‑Davies, Katherine Baker and Keith Bragg.
Chaeyoung has achieved notable recognition in various international competitions. She was awarded 2nd Prize at the Padova Competition in Italy and gained 2nd Prize at the All That Flutes Competition, which led to a solo concert with the Orchestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras in Portugal. Her awards also include the 3rd Prize at the Anton Rubinstein Flute Competition in Düsseldorf, 1st Prizes at the New York Virtuoso International Competition, and the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition ‘Bonn’. She also received an Honourable Mention at the Vienna New Year’s Concert Competition.
Chaeyoung has taken masterclasses with leading flautists including Mathieu Dufour, Denis Bouriakov, Karl‑Heinz Schutz, Silvia Careddu, Lorna McGhee, Emily Beynon, Benoît Fromanger, Gareth Davies, Julien Beaudiment, Michel Moragues, Sandrine Tilly, Sandrine François, José‑Daniel Castellón, Henrik Wiese and Hideaki Sakai. Chaeyoung is a member of the ARKO Ensemble and serves as a Director of the Korean Flute Society.

An innovative pianist, Julian Chan has performed at Wigmore Hall, Nanjing Poly Theatre and Palau de la Música Catalana. He won First Prize at the Nanyang International Music Competition and at the Coulsdon and Purley Festival for Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto. A composer and new‑music advocate, he has collaborated with Hans Abrahamsen, Deborah Pritchard and Peter Seabourne. In 2024/25 he held the Aud Jebsen Piano Fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Ian Fountain and Michael Dussek.
