Stationers’ Company ‘Richard Johnson’ Service

The Worshipful Company of Stationers’ and Newspaper Makers annual Richard Johnson ‘Bubble’ Service will be held at St Bride’s Church – the Journalists’ Church – on Tuesday 2nd June at 11:30am.

Johnson requested in his Last Will & Testament that a yearly sermon entitled Vita Humana Bulla Est (Life is a Bubble) be preached.

This year’s preacher taking on the challenge is The Revd Canon Dr Alison Joyce – our Rector here at St Bride’s. Alison also serves as Chaplain to the Company.

The music at the Bubble Service, provided by our excellent St Bride’s Choir, is always wonderful and features, among more sacred anthems, the popular ‘I’m forever blowing bubbles’ otherwise known as the Bubble Anthem!
