The Artist

Alberto Dalgo is an Italian concert pianist and Piano Professor at the Conservatory of Matera. He studied for several years at the Imola International Piano Academy with Leonid Margarius and completed his piano studies at the Pavia Conservatory with Andrea Turini, graduating with highest marks and honours.

He has received awards in national and international competitions, including First Prize and the Grand Prix CMF at the Concours Musical de France, as well as first prizes at the IMKA International Piano Competition, the Bellagio International Music Competition and the J S Bach Competition in Sestri Levante.

Alberto has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and concerto soloist throughout Italy and abroad. His international recital appearances include the Ateneo de Madrid, Robinson College, Cambridge, the Berlioz Auditorium in Courbevoie, the National Music Museum in Lisbon, the Casa de Bragança Foundation in Vila Viçosa, Palazzo Galiffet in Paris, the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo and the Twente Festival in the Netherlands.

With the Hopper Piano Trio, he has recorded works by Smetana, Shostakovich and Castelnuovo-Tedesco for Da Vinci Classics.
