Rachel Neiger started learning the piano at the age of eight. At senior school she was awarded a prize for achieving the highest mark in Grade 8 in the history of the school. Rachel graduated with a music degree from Oxford Brookes University and completed her postgraduate Diploma at Trinity College of Music. Whilst there, she won a scholarship onto the award-winning Mentor Scheme to study accompaniment with Susan Tomes and the Florestan Piano Trio. Since then, she has been in demand as a piano accompanist, performing a wide range of repertoire, specialising in vocal accompaniment. She has performed at Edinburgh Festival, Blackheath Halls, Shipley Arts Festival and many recital series around the UK.
In addition to her performance work, Rachel is a committed piano teacher at Christ’s Hospital School and also has a large private practice at home. Her enthusiasm for education and mentorship continues to nurture and inspire the next generation of musicians.
