The Artist
Arthur Vickery was born in Shetland in 1996 and grew up internationally. He started playing the organ at 13. He went on to study at the Birmingham Conservatoire for one year before being awarded the scholarship to be organist and director of music at Lincoln College, Oxford, while reading for a degree in Music. He graduated in 2024.
As a conductor and organist he has performed across the UK, in venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Canterbury Cathedral, and St John’s Smith Square. He has also performed in Hamburg, Leipzig, Lubeck and Freiburg, and throughout the Netherlands, as well as in Czechia and Malta. In 2019 he toured to the US, conducting and playing in New York, Boston and Connecticut.
He also loves Jazz and played at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2012. These days he is a photographer working in documentary, fashion, and art with a focus on analogue processes. He is also a darkroom printer and is a founder of 318 ArtLab, a creative printing space in Tottenham. He is based in London.
