Funeral: Tom Leece

A funeral service for Tom Leece will take place at St Bride’s Church, the Journalists’ Church, on Wednesday 19th October at 11am.

Tom began his career in production journalism as a trainee sub-editor at the Daily Mail and then became a splash sub-editor at the London Evening Standard. Most recently, he was a chief sub-editor at The Times and The Sunday Times.

During his career he improved thousands of articles, ensuring that stories were accurate, engaging and easy to understand.

Also a brilliant scholar of history, Tom was always aware that, in addition to informing and entertaining readers, he was creating a primary source for future historians.
