The Artist

“…sensitive pianism illuminated with unfailing vitality and character”
Rupert Christiansen (Daily Telegraph)

Italian pianist Giacomo Tora recently gained international attention with his debut album, Hommage à BACH, and his sold-out debut at Pianissimo Festival where his recitals have been widely praised by the press.

He has performed in many prestigious venues across Europe, including Teatro del Bibiena, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Auditorium Joseph Kosma, the State Hermitage Museum, Holywell Music Room, Steinway Hall, GES-2 House of Culture and the Auditorium Monteverdi. He has also been invited to give solo recitals at major festivals such as the XXXV International Chamber Music Festival ‘Umbria Classica’, the Keyboard & Voice Festival at the Old Royal Naval College and Blackheath Halls, and the Pianissimo Festival.

In addition to his concert appearances, he was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Sheepdrove Intercollegiate Piano Competition UK 2022, and he is also the finalist and prize-winner of several piano competitions in Italy, Spain and the UK.

Giacomo graduated with highest honours from Conservatorio di Musica di Mantova, where he studied with Roberta Bambace. He was also a scholar for four years at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where he studied with Deniz Arman Gelenbe and received coaching from Martino Tirimo, Mikhail Kazakevich and Sergio De Simone. Additionally, he attended masterclasses with Pascal Rogé, Bruno Canino, and Françoise Thinat.

Giacomo Tora is a Charles Haimoff Foundation Scholar, an Alfred & Therese Kitchin Scholar, a Trinity College London Scholar, and a recording artist for the Robert Turnbull Piano Foundation.

In 2025, he founded his own studio, The London Piano Practice, in partnership with Blüthner Piano Centre on Baker Street, with the vision of sharing his passion for music and fostering artistic growth in his students.
