The Artist

Hong Kong-born pianist Jayden Leung is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, having previously completed his Master of Music with Distinction. He studies with Mikhail Kazakevich and receives additional artistic guidance from Can Çakmur. An active soloist and chamber musician, Jayden has performed across the United Kingdom at venues including St Pancras Church, Euston Road; the Old Royal Naval College Chapel; St Alfege Church, Greenwich; St George’s Church, Beckenham; and St Philip’s Church, Cambridge. In 2026, he received a Gold Award at the Haydn Online Music International Competition, alongside the Gold Prize and Exceptional Technique Special Prize at the Berlioz International Music Competition. He was also selected to represent Trinity Laban at the 2026 Sheepdrove Intercollegiate Piano Competition.

Jayden’s artistic interests centre on the expressive depth and dramatic intensity of Romantic and twentieth-century repertoire, with a particular affinity for Russian composers. His forthcoming projects include a chamber performance of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No 3, arranged for piano and string quintet. An avid vocal collaborator, he is equally passionate about exploring lesser-known repertoire and works by underrepresented composers from diverse cultural backgrounds. He performed as an orchestral pianist with the Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra at Blackheath Halls.

Jayden has participated in masterclasses with distinguished musicians including Alim Beisembayev, Christine Croshaw, Pascal Rogé, Dina Parakhina, James Baillieu, Huw Watkins, Oscar Macchioni, Shuhua Chen, Eleonora Pertz, Luka Okros and Dr Min Kwon. He has also had lessons with Rustem Hayroudinoff, Sergio De Simone and Martino Tirimo, whose guidance has contributed significantly to his artistic development.
