The Artists
Laura Rodríguez and Pedro Fermín Guardia are distinguished Spanish classical musicians whose collaborative duo project is dedicated to promoting Spain’s rich violin and piano heritage on the global stage.
Laura Rodríguez began her musical education under Unnur Palsdottir and Joaquín Palomares, graduating with highest honours in violin and chamber music. She further refined her technique with Amayak Durgarian, mastering the expressive sonority and precision of the Russian violin school. Having debuted as an orchestral soloist at age eleven, she has since performed with prestigious ensembles across Europe under acclaimed conductors. Her extensive career includes appearances at major international festivals and iconic venues like Musikverein (Vienna), Mozarteum (Salzburg), and Smetana Hall (Prague), alongside her work as a founding member of the Trío Bacarisse.
Pedro Fermín Guardia displayed early musical talent and earned his higher piano degree with top honours. His refined interpretative style synthesizes the elegance of the French piano school, learned through Ernesto Rocío, Ángel Sanzo and Pascal Rogé, with the technical mastery of the Russian school, honed under Alexander Kandelaki and Dmitri Alexeev. After winning national competitions at an early age, he chose to focus strictly on performance and teaching. His repertoire encompasses all musical styles, with a strong focus on Spanish repertoire. He has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe and has held academic appointments in Spain and Portugal, where he is currently pursuing doctoral studies.
Together, Rodríguez and Guardia perform masterworks of Spanish classical literature, fostering international cultural exchange through vibrant concert tours and educational masterclasses across Spain, Scotland and Turkey.
