Religion Media Centre Lecture 2022 Prof Linda Woodhead

Lecture: Considering the Future of Religion in Britain

REGISTER TO ATTEND

We are delighted to host this year’s annual lecture for the Religion Media Centre on Tuesday 20th September at 6:45pm.

The results of the 2021 census are expected to show a continuing decline in religious affiliation. Professor Linda Woodhead MBE gives her own personal reflection on this and how she sees the future unfolding.

The event is free to attend. Please register if you wish to do so. There will be a Q&A following the lecture and a chance afterwards to network and chat over drinks.

Professor Woodhead is F.D. Maurice Chair in Moral and Social Theology at King’s College London. She is co-founder of the Westminster Faith Debates and is a regular commentator on religious and cultural issues on radio and television. Her most recent books are That Was the Church That Was: How the Church of England Lost the English People (with Andrew Brown, 2016), Gen Z, Explained (with Katz, Ogilvie, Shaw) and Unknowing God: Towards a Post-Abusive Theology.

The Religion Media Centre is an independent, impartial body helping journalists and other media professionals cover world religion and beliefs. They provide accurate, timely and relevant information to the media, to improve religious literacy among journalists, media professionals and engender a wider understanding throughout society.
