The Artist

Nathaniel Rosales-Merkies is a guitarist studying at the Royal College of Music in London. He enjoys exploring a variety of musical styles, ranging from classical guitar to electric guitar and music production/composition, and he has a background in performing traditional Filipino Folk music as part of a Rondalla ensemble.

A recent graduate of the Purcell School for Young Musicians, Nathaniel is now a Victor and Lilian Hochhauser scholar at the RCM. As part of the London Guitar Duo with Rocco dal Cin, he performed at Wigmore Hall in February 2024. He will perform Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez in May 2025 with the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra in St Albans, after winning the Purcell School’s Senior Concerto Strings Competition.
