The Artists

Neil Dixon is a British violinist whose career has taken him to venues across the UK and Europe as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral performer. He began studying the violin at the age of nine in his local primary school in York and won first prize at the York Rotary Club Young Musician of the Year competition in 2013. Neil was a quarter-finalist in the BBC Young Musician competition in both 2018 and 2020 and has also competed internationally, including at Triomphe de l’Art in Brussels.

As a soloist, he has performed in venues including the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall, Pushkin House in London, Peterskirche in Vienna and the Bernard Haitinkzaal in Amsterdam. He has appeared on Dutch national television with the Otilka Quartet and performed at major venues including the BBC Proms. In 2025, he released his debut recording of Huw Dixon’s Four Candles with pianist David Mikic on Spotify. He performs on an 1891 Eugenio Degani violin kindly loaned by the Benslow Foundation.

David Mikić (b. 2000) is an Austrian pianist from Feldkirch and President of the World Piano Teachers Association (WPTA) Austria since 2025. He graduated with an Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music in London in 2025, having previously studied with Anna Adamik, Benjamin Moser, Dmitri Demiashkin, Dorian Leljak and Gordon Fergus-Thompson. A prizewinner of numerous national and international competitions, he received First Prize at the International Caneres Competition in Vienna and multiple first prizes at Austria’s Prima la Musica competition.

David has performed for organizations including the Chopin Society Feldkirch, the Rachmaninoff Foundation in Lucerne and the Austrian Cultural Forum in London. He has appeared at prominent London venues such as St Marylebone Parish Church and the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall. In addition to his concert career, he collaborates regularly with violinist Neil Dixon and has recorded works by British composer Huw David Dixon.
