The Artists
Olive Murray read history at Cambridge. She has sung a variety of operatic roles including First Lady and Queen of the Night (Magic Flute), Constanza (Il Seraglio), Frasquita and Micaela (Carmen), Female Chorus (Rape of Lucretia), Anna (Nabucco), Zerlina and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), Margarita (Faust), Belinda (Dido), Fire, Princess & Nightingale (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Angelina (Trial by Jury), Violetta (La Traviata), Giorgetta (Il Tabarro) and last summer Miss Wordsworth (Albert Herring) for Almaviva Opera. She sang Prayer Singer (Covent Garden) in the production of Porgy & Bess which has subsequently been televised by the BBC. Olive has sung as recital and oratorio soloist for many choral societies – Southwark Cathedral, St James’s Piccadilly, Fairfield Halls, and in Germany and Canada. Works included C Minor Mass, Coronation Mass, Solemn Vespers and Requiem (Mozart); Nelson Mass and Paukenmesse (Haydn); Jubilee Cantata (Weber); Messiah (Handel); and Vivaldi’s Gloria, with recitals at St James’s Piccadilly and St Martin-in-the-Fields, recently singing Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater. She made her debut at the Queen Elizabeth Hall singing Handel’s Dixit Dominus and Bernstein’s Mass, as well as Mendelssohn’s Elijah.
Christopher Foreman studied at the Royal Academy of Music specializing in piano, piano accompaniment and organ. His professors included Jean Anderson, Rex Stephens and David Sanger. There he won five prizes for piano, piano accompaniment and history, including the prestigious Tobias Matthay Award, and obtained a 1st Class diploma and postgraduate scholarship. Piano solo and duo recitals in London and the UK, include 11 concerts at St James’s Piccadilly with an international violinist as well as organ recitals in Thuringia, Germany and North London. Christopher has been an organist and choirmaster at several London churches including from 2012 St Paul’s, Winchmore Hill, with a working repertoire of over 3,000 organ pieces.
